APOSTLE CORNELIUS BABALOLA

PRESIDENT - OTTAWA- HUB

Apostle Cornelius Olajide Babalola is the General Overseer, and Senior Pastor of Tabernacle of Prayer and the Executive Chairman, Board of Trustees, Fellowship of Yahweh Tabernacle Inc. A Canadian Charity.

He was a graduate of Columbia College Hollywood Los-Angeles, where he received a BA in Mass Communications 1977, University of California (UCLA), Los-Angeles: Postgraduate-diploma in Advertising and International Marketing in 1978. He was the executive chairman of Centre Spread Advertising, Lagos Nigeria 1986-1989 and the Managing Director and chief executive of Creative Concept International Marketing and Advertising, 1989 -1996.  
ACB Babalola has extensive experience spanning over 40 years in International Marketing, trade and Investment promotions, Banking corporate Advertisements, political campaigns, and international development.  He was a consultant to (ADB), UBA, First Bank, Shell Petroleum and many more.
He brings a wealth of experiences to the leadership of the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network (NCBN).
 

AKINWUNMI REJU

PRESIDENT - GTA- NCBN

Akin Reju a partner is in charge of the Business Law and Real Estate group of the practice. Mr. Reju holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Benin and a professional certification as a chartered secretary; he has worked with managements and boards in legal advisory, corporate management and corporate secretarial capacities.

Mr. Reju has had over 25 years’ experience in legal practice. After a stint of 3 years in litigation practice early in his career in Nigeria, he became an in-house lawyer to financial service companies notably the Corporate Trust Group and later on the IGI Group where he rose to become Deputy Director Corporate and Legal Services.

JACKSON IGBINOSUN

Jackson Osamede Igbinosun is engaged in business development, projects management consultancy, and a dogged entrepreneur with a passion and zest for Africa’s socioeconomic growth and development, relentlessly pushing for transnational and institutional cooperation pursuant to its attainment. Mr. Igbinosun is a distinguished member of the African Diaspora Business Leaders League in Canada and the founder and President of AfriCanada Commerce Exchange Inc.; a Canadian corporation established to promote, support and facilitate Trade, Business and Investment cooperation primarily between Canadian firms and counterparts across Africa.

LUKMAN AKANBI

Lukman Akanbi is an accomplished Entrepreneur/business leader and Coach with over 20 years of management, strategy, product & service development, delivery, and operational experience in a variety of industries including Telecommunication, Hospitality & Entertainment.

He is known for his ability to transform entrepreneurs into successful business owners who are able to scale their organizations consistently.

Over the years, he’s been fortunate to have had an adventurous career in Hospitality, entertainment, and youth-focused empowerment ventures that promote fashion, music, arts, and African culture in Dubai, Canada & Nigeria.

He has spent over a decade building what is known as the Kiza Brand in Nigeria, Dubai, Kenya & Toronto.

This includes:

The Kiza Restaurant in Dubai & Kenya – The first 5-Star African restaurants in the world with over $25M in combined annual revenues, employing over 150 staff and serving over 20,000 customers since its inception in 2013.

The Kiza Music & Entertainment – A full-service independent music label founded in 2013 to showcase African music & culture as well as the talented artist from Africa.

The Kiza Music & Entertainment was also the logistics support partner to the Golden Eaglets (Nigerian Under 17 Soccer Team) in 2013 during the Under17 FIFA World-cup in the United Arab Emirates. Through Kiza Music & Entertainment, he has been able to connect and empower youths through programs and events in Fashion, Music & Arts whilst promoting African culture alongside the diversity of UAE

In Canada, Kiza Music & Entertainment organizes yearly events across major cities in Canada and partners with Music Africa to produce AFROFEST – the largest annual African cultural festival in North America with over 80,000 visitors annually, showcasing A-List artist from Nigeria and parts of Africa and the world.

Some of these events are in collaboration with different event producers globally and it presents a platform for over 500 exciting local, national, and international artists to showcase their art in Toronto.

Lukman prides himself on being someone who constantly learns new things. As a result of this, he is able to constantly bring new ideas and strategies to his client’s situations.

It is also for this reason that he has taken so keenly over the years to teaching because through teaching others he has been able to sustain his own learning journey.

Lukman is also an Alumni of the University of Ife, Ile-Ife Nigeria and Harvard Business School, Boston USA and in 1999, was put in charge of building teams, growing market share and penetration as well as expansion and revenue generation for Wireless Trade Group Inc – a Canadian Telecoms company based in Mississauga Ontario, Canada.

He spent the first 5 years building and positioning the business in his capacity as CEO and expanded into Africa, partnering with major Telecommunications operators and retailers, growing the company’s revenues from $100,000 to over $12 million within this period.

Wireless Trade Group Inc then went on to become a major partner to telecommunication, technology, and mobile industries across Africa, distributing over 3 million Mobile phones in Africa.

Lukman realized early on that being able to help people with problem-solving skills is one of the most valuable things a person can learn on their road to success.

This is another skill that Lukman has developed over the years while working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and people who have made the decision to transition from a corporate career into their own line of work.

The problem-solving aspect of his training provides the necessary guidance to those who need it as starting and running a business is no easy feat.

Over the years Lukman also developed and refined the skill of being able to coach people in matters of business. Through this talent of his, he is able to develop other people’s skills and show them what they are capable of achieving thereby motivating them to carry out the objectives they wish to achieve.

As a business coach, he enjoys educating, mentoring, and working with his community, business owners, and their teams to achieve their ideal vision for their company while helping them create a thriving, profitable, well-structured, and process-oriented business.

Lukman’s passion, patience, and skill for being able to formulate the right strategy at the right moment are what allows him to integrate his client’s needs with their goals in a holistic manner.

Lukman now spends his time coaching and mentoring clients from startups to seasoned entrepreneurs who all have the same objective in mind – to succeed and live the life they have always dreamed of living.

AKIN ODUNTAN

VICE PRESIDENT (COMMUNITY OUTREACH) - GTA-NCBN

A Pharmacology/Physiology graduate from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He did a diploma course in Occupational Health and Safety. He worked as Safety Officer in both Peel District School Board and Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, Ontario.

He has served in different roles as a Community liason within the City, and still actively involved.
He is a member of the Citizen-based Brampton Transit Advisory Committee.

He is currently the Legislative Assistant to the Member of Parliament office Ramesh Sangha (MP Brampton Center).

KING WALE ADE SANYA

NATIONAL CHAIRMAN

King Wale AdeSanya is the President of ADE Financial Group and one of the Founders of the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network.

As an Investment and Insurance Consultant, he has attracted millions of dollars worth of investments to Nigeria and continues to work on building a stronger Bi-Lateral relationship between Nigeria and Canada.

Mr AdeSanya is a well respected and influential personnel in the Nigerian and Canadian Business Community and with the Government policy makers.

Mr. Malcolm Williamson

Vice-Chairman

A visionary, after decades in senior roles in international finance, sales and administration with several of Canada’s largest companies, Williamson set out to purchase or create and manage over a dozen companies in Canada and the US in manufacturing, service, technology and the arts.

He continues to apply his broad experience and creativity in business turnarounds, building wealth for companies in a variety of industries.

He has served on the boards of several corporations and associations including charitable and trade organizations.

Currently Williamson is a Director of Pivotas AG, a Swiss company that is a leading global provider of financial consulting, business transformation, debt management, and restructuring to help entrepreneurial business owners minimize financial risk and maximize market opportunities.

Residing in Ottawa, Canada he maintains his love for the arts as a photographer, videographer and film maker.

ELAYE OTROFANOWEI

PRESIDENT - OTTAWA- HUB {2017 - 2022]

Elaye Otrofanowei is the President of EO Securities in Canada and SWIFT Car Rental in Nigeria.

He retired from the service of Exxon Mobil after over 30 years and served Nigeria with honors before migrating to Canada.

OLUFEMI BOYEDE, CITP®|FIBP®,

Olufemi Boyede, CITP®|FIBP®, Managing Director and CEO of Koinonia Ventures Ltd. (recently incorporated as Koinonia Global Services Inc. in Canada), is one of Nigeria’s foremost international trade experts, with specializations in export business development, advocacy and trade promotion. With over 30 years of experience, Olufemi has risen to become a leader in the trade community. He is also a passionate advocate of closer trade relations between Canada and countries all across Africa, particularly Nigeria.

ISAAC OLOWOLAFE JR

PAST PRESIDENT - GTA- NCBN {2014-2018}

Isaac Olowolafe Jr. is a real estate broker, angel investor and philanthropist. His company, Dream Maker Corporation, manages a diverse range of services from wealth management to capital development. Currently, Isaac is building a major development alongside seven other projects in Toronto. At 26, he established the largest scholarship fund for African Studies in Canada. More recently, he made a gift to establish the Isaac Olowolafe Jr. Digital Media Experience, a space at Ryerson University that supports emerging start-ups and students. In 2016, Isaac launched Dream Maker Ventures, a private equity firm that provides seed capital and guidance to small- and medium-sized businesses. Originally from Nigeria, Isaac lives in Toronto with his wife and three daughters.
